What I Offer
At Elk Family Reflections, I offer a range of services designed to support individuals and families facing substance use, behavioral health challenges, and the complex dynamics that come with them. Through assessments, individualized counseling, and family coaching, my goal is to create a structured and compassionate pathway toward meaningful change.
Many people believe that someone must “hit bottom” before they are ready for help. In reality, waiting for that moment is often dangerous and sometimes irreversible. When a person is caught in cycles of denial, isolation, or destructive behaviors, they rarely find solutions on their own. If recovery were simply a matter of willpower, they would have stopped long ago.
My work focuses on taking thoughtful, early, and effective action. This is not an ambush or a confrontation. It is a clear, respectful, and loving conversation about a life-threatening condition. My approach is grounded in balance, emphasizing the essential roles of work, play, and love in building stability and motivation.
Through a strategic and organized process, I help families, friends, and colleagues strengthen their ability to support the person they care about. When the system around an individual shifts, their own motivation to change becomes stronger, clearer, and more sustainable.
Advisory Work with Doyen Consulting Group
In addition to my private practice at Elk Family Reflections, I also serve as an advisor with the Doyen Consulting Group. In this role, I bring the same family-centered, relational approach that guides my work with clients into a broader consulting context, within a team of professionals with diverse backgrounds and areas of expertise that create tangible change.
My focus with Doyen is to understand the full story of each family system, recognize the patterns that keep people stuck, and help design clear, realistic steps toward change. I work to create a process where accountability and care are not in conflict with one another, but instead become part of the same healing conversation.
This work allows me to support individuals and their loved ones through assessment, treatment planning, and aftercare, while staying grounded in what matters most: safety, relationship, and sustainable change for the whole family.
